FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are your check-in and check-out times? Can we request early check-in or late check-out?
Check-out is 10:00 AM and check-in begins at 2:00 PM. We do our best to accommodate early arrivals or late departures when possible; however, this four-hour window is typically dedicated to lawn care, grounds maintenance, mosquito control, cabin cleaning, and other operational needs. During this time, the office is closed while staff focus on turnover.
Are dogs allowed, and what are the pet fees?
Yes — our campground & select cabins are dog-friendly. Please review our full pet policy and applicable fees here: https://lakeemilyresort.com/pet-policy/
Do you provide personal pillows, or should we bring our own?
We kindly ask guests to bring their own sleeping pillows. This policy began during COVID and has remained in place for guest comfort and hygiene. If traveling long distance or arriving by ATV, motorcycle, or airplane where packing a pillow isn’t practical, we do keep a limited number of reserve pillows available upon request.
Is cable TV available in the cabins?
Instead of traditional cable, cabins include Amazon Fire streaming sticks with access to popular platforms such as Netflix and Disney+ via a convenient QR login. Guests also have access to free movies and shows. Due to rising cable costs and guest feedback indicating most visitors prefer outdoor activities, this streaming option has proven to be a flexible and cost-effective alternative.
What types of accommodations do you offer? Are larger cabins available?
We offer a variety of lodging options including:
• Cabins sleeping 5–10 guests
• RV camping (daily or seasonal)
• Tent camping
For larger groups, popular options include:
• Antlers Cove + Bear’s Den duplex, with Lakeside Lodge next door
• Eagle’s Nest + Otter’s Outlook cabin, located side-by-side
These combinations work especially well for extended families or group gatherings.
RV Sites #30 and #32 are ideal for groups traveling with two campers. Known as our buddy sites, they face each other and share a central space, making it easy to connect outdoor seating or picnic tables for group gatherings. Each site also includes its own private fire ring for added comfort and convenience.
What is your cancellation policy?
The time of your vacation has been specially reserved for you. You are responsible for the full length of your reserved stay. No credit is given for late arrivals or early departures. We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible, and we will make every effort to re-book your reservation. If we are able to fill your dates, a refund will be issued minus a $25 administrative fee for RV & tent reservations or a $50 administrative fee for cabin reservations, along with any applicable credit card processing fees. If we are unable to re-book your dates, the deposit will be forfeited. No-shows will be charged the full amount of their reservation. Changing your reservation dates is considered a cancellation of your original booking and a new reservation. Because summer weekends and peak dates are limited and in high demand, shifting a reservation often prevents another guest from booking original dates and may result in lost availability for others. Weekday RV and tent reservations may be rescheduled to earlier dates when space allows, at management discretion. All date changes are subject to availability and approval. Our goal is to be fair to our guests while also protecting our ability to operate a small seasonal business.
Are boats available for rent on the lake?
Yes — we offer two pontoon rentals. Photos and details are available near the bottom of this page: https://lakeemilyresort.com/lake-info/
What resort policies should guests know?
Do you offer seasonal camping or long-term stays?
Yes — we have 35 seasonal sites. Contact us to join the waiting list or apply in person. We do not entertain long term stays in our cabins between Memorial Day & Labor Day. Contact us if interested in the months of May or September for anything over one week.
Can I drive my ATV or golf cart around the resort?
Yes. A 5 MPH speed limit is enforced for everyone’s safety. Many families and children are on the property, so please drive cautiously and remain attentive at all times.
